Newburgh Preservation Hall
After more than 150 years of service as a church and town hall, Hafer Associates renovated the historic building to house a museum and community center available for rent for parties, receptions and events. All portions of the exterior of the building have been faithfully restored. Existing brick masonry has been repaired as required but in accordance with the Secretary of the Interiors Guidelines for Historic Restoration. The interior of the structure has been completely reconstructed to appropriately provide for the new uses. The original stained glass windows are mostly intact or restored and are refurbished and reinstalled. The addition is of very simple design to not compete with the existing historic structure.
