The Chamber of Commerce, members of the public and students joined KWC officials on Friday, February 19, for a ribbon cutting and the grand opening of Jazzman's Cafe and Bakery in the Winchester Center on campus.
Jazzman’s offers gourmet coffees, fruit smoothies, pastries and salads. A large portion of the student center was transformed to house the new café and bakery, which is managed by Sodexo, the college’s food and facilities management service.
Rusher Construction was the general contractor, and Collignon & Nunley/Hafer Associates was the architectural firm. The Winchester Center, named for KWC’s campus in that city from 1890 – 1951, opened in 2002.
Jazzman’s is open to the public. Current hours of operation are 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Two parking spaces in the Scherm Road lot are designated for Jazzman’s carry out customers.
