This client was coming out of an older, unappealing building and needed a new home, one that was inviting, clean, crisp, and would enhance the image of the organization and encourage greater volunteerism. Hafer Associates not only designed a facility that met those requirements very effectively, but also designed the building to withstand and remain operational during natural disasters. The new building will accommodate chapter office requirements well into the future and provide spaces for instruction, warehousing of disaster relief supplies, facilities for housing, feeding and meeting the needs of disaster victims and the traditional blood collection services.
