Ronald McDonald House
One of 270 Ronald McDonald Houses globally, this house offers a “home-away-from-home” for families of seriously ill children who are receiving treatment at hospitals in the Evansville area. The Ronald McDonald House Program gives families a comfortable, supportive alternative to the hospital setting.

To ensure that the design of this house did not feel like a hospital, but that inspires children to have fun and play, and that makes families feel safe and comfortable. Hafer Associates’ design incorporates private bathrooms for every bedroom, laundry facilities and prayer/reflection areas. The kitchen and dining areas are also large enough to handle multiple families’ needs as well as a large family room. There is also nice landscaping and appropriate lighting for a residential feel.
