Guest House, St. Meinrad Archabbey
Hafer Associates designed this multi-functional building
to provide 72 new student dormitories, a two-story student
commons, an art gallery and exhibition space capable of
hosting receptions and other community functions, a conference
center, faculty and administrative offices, student activities
offices, study lounges, a small chapel and a bookstore.
The exterior massing, form and materials all reflect the
architecture of the Archabbey. The sandstone masonry walls
come from the same quarry that has provided stone on all
of the buildings for the last 100 years.
