University of Southern Indiana trustees were shown an artist's rendering of USI's planned College of Business building during a meeting Thursday at Indianapolis.

HOK Inc. of St. Louis and Hafer Associates of Evansville are architects for the building, which will cover 117,000 square feet and contain USI's business school and other classrooms, labs and offices.

Its estimated cost is $31.9 million, of which $2 million in design funding has been released to USI.

The $29.9 million balance, for construction, will be sought from the 2007 General Assembly.

Primary supplies will be brick, limestone and glass. Large glass windows will provide light and views.

Entry will occur along a seam between USI's business and engineering programs.
