Victory Theatre
Restoration and adaptive reuse of this 1920’s vintage
vaudeville theater for use as the philharmonics performance
hall proved to be a challenge. The house’s shape was
not proportioned well for the proposed use. Hafer Associates,
with Jaffe Holden Acoustics, was able to install a state-of-the-art
sound reinforcement system to overcome the architectural
deficiencies of the space. The resulting space is a visually
rich, acoustically superb performance hall capable of providing
for a variety of venues. Additionally, the historic fabric
of the building remains intact, as an excellent example
of American architecture from a bygone era.
